The survey asks clinically relevant questions such as “Who would you refer to for knee replacement?” Doctors may nominate up to three colleagues. Order does not matter.
GPs answer at the level they actually refer—for example cardiology, ENT or general surgery. Specialists answer more specific subspecialty or procedural questions.
Verification, anti-gaming checks and minimum evidence thresholds are applied before publication. Doctors below the publication threshold are simply not listed; there is no negative ranking.
A doctor may purchase clearly labelled featured placement within the recognition band already earned. Payment cannot change eligibility, score or band. Unfeatured doctors remain alphabetically ordered within the band.
